Mind your village with Art it Yourself & Ms. Nikki‘s Traveling Story Bag! Have fun building a story and a collaborative vision board.
Nykiiah Wright (Ms. Nikki) of Ms. Nikki‘s Traveling Story Bag is a storyteller and a teacher of students with special needs. Now in her 6th year of using stories to educate, motivate and entertain audiences of all ages, Ms. Nikki performs interactive retold as well as original stories. Her story bag is packed with items that she uses to help the story come alive with the help of the audience. From the moment you enter her storytelling space, the story begins with your involvement, so expect the unexpected and be prepared to have fun! Rozenia Cunningham of Art it Yourself engages kids, adults, and those with special needs in stimulating creative art programs ranging from crafts and painting classes, to children summer art enrichment, to painting parties.

Robin Echols Cooper is a storyteller and performing and visual artist. Her unique style takes you on an animated journey as she weaves tales from around the world. Her family stories bring you home.
Songs for Kids and Families
2 – 2:45pm, Room 105
Nate and Karen McDonald as Daddy & the Chickenhawks have been singing to and with their three children since they were born. They play guitar, banjo, drums, and other objects and instruments and sing (mostly) American folk songs that appeal to children in fun, interesting, and sometimes surprising ways.
Music Hootenanny for Kids and Families
3 – 3:45pm, Room 105
Kids in grades K-8 join the Music Hootenanny for Kids. We’ll play washboards, ukuleles, kazoos, spoons or bring your own instrument. A parade may break out to some Irish whistle! Hosted by Sheela Das of Creative Concepts in Music.
World Dances for Kids
4 – 4:45pm, Room 105
Children of all ages will have fun doing simple dances from around the world with this experienced and inspiring teacher. Janice Fields Pohl is a music teacher at Campus International School. She received her undergraduate degree in violin performance from the North Carolina School of the Arts and Cleveland State University. She has performed with Johnny Mathias, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, YoYo Ma, Babyface and many other others. A fan of Lake Erie, Janice spends much of her free time there with her four children.
