Songs for Kids
3:00-3:45, Room #257
Brothers Nate and Pete McDonald have been singing children’s songs ever since they can remember. They grew up listening to Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Burl Ives, Peter, Paul, and Mary, their parents, aunts, uncles, and many other performers who sing songs with and for children. Nate, Pete and their families will sing (mostly) American folk songs that appeal to children in fun and interesting ways. Some of the songs like “This Land Is Your Land” will be familiar sing-along-songs to all while others may be new to everyone. The group will sing and play guitar, harmonica, mandolin, banjo, drums, and other instruments and objects. The McDonalds are looking forward to the chance to sing a few songs together and with you at the Lake Erie Folk Festival.
